  1. a 60/100 sounds like a D average to me, but i have no idea how people do things in india. I know that it is harder in universities outside the US to get an A or a B (almost impossible in some cases)...i'm pretty sure that admissions people know this as they've probably dealt with several international cases before.
  2. i dont know what the grading is like in new zealand, but in the US this is the grade spread generally: 4.0=A 3.7=A- 3.3=B+ 3.0=B 2.7=B- 2.3=C+ 2.0=C 1.7=C- 1.3=D+ 1.0=D 0.7=D- 0.0=F So someone with a 3.3GPA has an averaged total grade of B+...keeping the above conversion in mind, it's easy enough to figure out your GPA (though keep in mind the amount of units too in your calculations). If you're looking to get into grad school over here you should have at least a B average (3.0)...and for top schools at least a 3.5
  3. i applied 1/15 for the MA in Modern Middle Eastern and North African Studies program...heard back 3/3 via email from the center for middle eastern studies saying that they recommended me for admission and that i should receive an offical notice from rackham in a few weeks...status of website still hasn't changed.
  4. I don't think so...the look of my status on the website has not changed since i was notified via email of my acceptance. I think you'll be contacted by email either way.
