I also emailed 3-4 times and got the same email as you guys! I guess she's just getting us annoying people out of the way ;)

I called yesterday - the (very nice) woman on the phone said they would let people know hopefully by the end of the week, but it could be later - that it was out of their hands and up to the higher-ups of NSF. And that they know that so many people have an April 15 deadline and they're doing their best to get results out before then, but can't promise anything.

Is anyone still waiting to hear from them? I really really really want to get in... although I realize there's almost no chance. But until they actually reject me, I'm holding on to the last shred of hope.

Wait a minute. Are you guys saying that, if you're awarded an NSF grant, that a school that had previously rejected you (not waitlisted, but flat-out rejected) may consider accepting you?? I didn't know that - I thought it could just help you get off the wait list. This is dangerous, now my hopes might go up again!

Out of curiosity, what are some of the strengths of the BU econ department? I don't know much about it.

Does anyone know when NSF results are released? Just one more thing to be anxious about... :eek:

Started the wait-list process? The acceptance process? The rejection process?? Clearly this is making me nervous too!

Just called Georgetown - they said they haven't finished sending out notifications yet (so I can still hold on to my last shred of hope!)

I haven't heard anything from Georgetown yet - is that a bad sign?

Which schools are we predicting for today? I don't think I can handle much more of this waiting/anxiety! :crazy:
