I would be looking into a program that allowed me to specialize in auditing or financial accounting.

This is my first post-I found this board and it seems to have a lot of great information! I am looking into various Accounting PhD programs for the Fall of 2010, however I am having a difficult time determining how schools that I am interested in are ranked (is it a top tier school, a middle tier school or a lower ranking school). I don't want to become very interested in a school that I have very little chance of being admitted to. Does anybody know of a ranking list, or a listing of a few schools in each category just so I can have a starting point? I am most interested in schools that are located in the Midwest (WI, IL and MN would be my top choice in locations to go to school). Any help would be appreciated! Thank you so much.
