Is the above sentence correct if I want to convey the below meaning: He turned the focus by writing hundreds of poetries and (by) establishing a school. In this 2nd sentence below sentence I want to convey a different meaning by a little change. The meaning is: Jefferson turned the focus by writing poems and (he) established a world renowned school. ( he didn’t turn the focus by establishing school).
