I used the Longman CD preparation for my TOEFL test (passed on 3rd April, scored 102) but compared to the real test I found the Longman much easier than the real test specially the reading and the listening although I scored well on these two parts. (R: 29 and L: 27) Nevertheless the good point about the Longman CD is ths format which is quite the same that the real test. I've heard that the Kaplan is much harder than the real test so maybe it's better for you to use this one. I only discovered this forum couples of days before my test date. So I couldn't take all the advices on the forum which I think are so helpful for everyone who want take the TOEFL test.

Your are going in Leysin. Yes not so far from Geneva but even little bit far. But I am worried for you, Leysin is very small town in the swiss mountain. I dont even know what is the population in this city. By the way the landscape should be beautiful. You can go out in Lausanne, which is maybe 1h20 from Leysin. The city is a cool place for the night life with a lot of night club. Cause I think that Leysin is more an expencive small city for tourist.

You seem to have done a great job with your score of 100 and just started learning english by the age of 22. It much more difficult to assimilate a new language when you are older. By the way your plans look good. If you really like teaching go and do it. If you like business more do an MBA or a CPA..If you can find be enrolled in a good MBA, in a good well know school. For mysefl I think this is the best option. But it is only my point of view. I find it funny how we all guys bulid a kind of friendship only around a test like the TOEFL. My time on this forum was cool and quite funny, waiting for the results, share our feeling, be angry about the test..

Really you are coming in Switzerland this summer..Which city??? I will finish my bachelor degree in business administration in Geneva and start a master degree in banking and finance in september in St Gallen..

Living in Switzerland, I did my TOEFL test the 3rd of April in London as I m in an Intership since February, I received my results yesterday even I didn't have great scores as yours, I meet my target. I messed up my TOEFL with 102, it's all right but I could esaliy have around 108.. I m still thinking that the toefl is more a matter of luck and not really an exam to test your ability in English.

I think that if you log on your toefl account in the view score section there is a link Request additional score reports where you can add a score recipient for free as you normaly have up to 4 free score recipient.. Try this if it's working

You did a one year preparation..seems very long..But you acheived your goal so I think you did the right choice to not listened your friends. What You gonna do now? You will apply for a degree in USA I also printed the whole page like you and sent it to the university as the deadline is on the 30th April and I can wait for the official score report.

Glad to hear that you beat your target NinaErickson..Wish you the best for the rest..And I dont think that there in a possibility to print the results, I m not sure but maybe ETS will send a score report via Email before the post mail one.

All of you guys have done the test well. Congrats. Many scores above 100 points. Was the test on 27th March easy? Because when I chose my exam date, I hesitated between the 27th March and 3rd April but finally chose the latter one because I can have a week more for my revision. But the test on this day was quite hard. So I hope that I didn't make the wrong decision. I have some hard thoughts after all these great scores..

I only used the longman for my preparation. And I'm not really sure this is the best book. The explanations for the listening are not really good and not closed to want you have to do. The level is much easier then the real test for the reading (the texts are not so complex) and the listening section (they used to speak quite clearly not as the test) but still a good practice for the test format. For the speaking section I found a good tutorial on the internet [ RISE ] Renshaw Internet School of English . You can find a good explanation of what to do in the speaking section for all the 6 sections.

By the way musicgal you are also my ideal... I will try to copy your score the next friday but not sure that I will manage it..

I m waiting for my result for the april 3rd toefl. They re supposed to be online next week. But not as you my feelings were quite bad at the end. I need 100 and I m predicted something between 95 and 98. I still hope for my 100. A lot of people were disappointed at the end but finally made 100 and more.
