In some countries, teenagers have jobs while they are still students. Do you think this is a good idea? Support your opinion by using specific reasons and details. It is very well known that some teenagers work while they are still students in college or university. It is also known that as much experience working a person has, the more possibilities to get a good job after graduating they have. But, which are the benefits a teenager experiments by working while studying? Besides experience, which will be recognized later, they are also able to make sure they have found out what they really like doing; sometimes teenagers realize which their career will be for their whole life, while working for the very first time. I would say responsabilities and the ability to manage them is one of the most important qualities a teenager acquires when working while studying, because he will realize the more he works on it, the more he will get later. Disadvantages? The first one I can think about is "Money indepence", a teenager earning his own money and deciding what to spend it on, can be a little dangerous whenever he is not mature enough to invest it the best way. On the other hand, there will always be the chance a teenager will preffer to work and quit studying cause of earning money. When a teenager is about to decide wheter work and study or only study, I think the most important point to discuss about would be his maturity and ability to settle down when living new experiences.

Hi to everyone... I hope you can send back your opinion about my essay, I am trying to catch up on TWE practice... Thank you! Melissa. Topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use the specific reasons and examples to support your answer. As soon as we are born, the first people we are able to see are our parents, they are the ones who not only bring love and care but also lots of knowledge. From talking to walking, from reading to living our parents most of the time share their experiences to make our life a little better. Although it is a fact that having them to help us doesnt necesarily mean that we are gonna follow their advise, we will always know, they will not want us to fail in any try we make. If we think about theorical topics, I am sure we could consider school teachers the best; but what about when having doubts about life facts? As I have mentioned before, parents will always want us to succeed, their experience will make their words be full of wisdom and care. Personally, I can say I have learnt lots from my parents, they have been very helpful with school work and more than anything with life values and advise.

Hi Aileen, I am kinda new here... I have a question regarding essays... aren't the contractions not allowed when writing TWE? So far, that's what I was told when taking a preparation course, but I have been reading and I found some of them did have the contractions. :)Thank you, Melissa.

Living with somebody you do not know is very difficult. Not only because you may have never seen them, but also because they may have different customs and habits that could become main problem while living together. Have you thought about which are the characteristics a good roommate should have? Being a roommate is not easy neither for one or other. We all, as human, are different and becoming part of a new little "family" can be a disaster if you do not try to make it work. Respect, It is not only about property(which is very important too), it is also about personal life. Having a Roommate does not mean you will have to share your whole life of course, as long as it does not involve the other one. Patience, because at first you are knowing your roommate, you are learning the way they are and which are their likes and dislikes, we have to keep in mind the other one is in the same situation as you are. Things may not work at first, you may discuss and disagree not one but many times. To be talkative and expressive is important too because if you do not say the way you feel about others actions, they will never know it and so far a "disaster" will be around. Personally, I had the opportunity to share an apartment with 5 girls for 3 months and a half, and then with other 7 for one month and I had never seen them before but when we were told to live together, based on my own experience, I have to say Respect, Patience and Expressiveness are a must while living with others. It will not only let you live with a "family", but also make great friends.
