  1. I totally agree - when I was studying for the SAT II Maths IIC, I was really suprised at the high level of the maths in the Barrons book [:(!]. Especially when you compare their tests to actual SAT II Maths IIC tests. Anyway, I don't think that they're really accurate. I did the test last December without having learnt everything from the Barrons book (far from it!) and I got 800. (btw, don't forget you can still make a few mistakes and get 800). I'd suggest using other, more accurate books. Good luck!
  2. Sorry about the message above^^ It's my first time posting here! What I think that subject means is that most of the time, great discoveries in science aren't in any way, shape or form premeditated. They just happen, by pure chance (hence "that's funny"). As an example, you could cite the discovery of penicillin in the mid '40s (you could do a little research on that, you'll find plenty of stuff in any encyclopedia). Hope that helps!
