I am wondering whether the top 10 schools give any weightage to SOPs? In addition, what would be the ideal length of the SOP 1 page or 2 page (single spaced). Any suggestions how to start writing as the starting is normally a difficult part in writing SOP?

I m on waiting-list for funding for BU and though, I really want to go there but I cannot finance my studies on my own. Let's see. I hope they will reply by April 15th which is the deadline for accepting their funded offers.

@bobofett...y dont u go to UT Austin? u have a funded offer there and it is ranked above Boston in overall ranking as well as in most of specialization in Economics as well?
