  1. @Nanashi Thanks for u r warm reply. Yes I will be applying to some Canadian universities as well... Like you everybody is suggesting a GRE retake and I will do that ...And yeah my interest area is macro and development...can you suggest me some more universities in this field ? regards

Hello everybody, please evaluate my profile - MA Economics (continuing) at York University (Canada) - 1st semester results - Advanced Micro A+, Advanced Macro A, Advanced Econometrics A+, Economics of financial market - A+. And in 2nd semester enrolled for - Advanced Monetary, Development, Time Series Econometrics, International Monetary. please note that when applied Adcom will see my first semester result only. Bachelors in Economics in Finance (rank 2nd in my country, Bangladesh). - over all GPA 3.72. Economics GPA 3.82, A+ in Intr micro, macro, metrics, game theory and trade. Mathematics courses - calculus and analytical geometry I,II and III. Grade average - 3.3 GRE - Q - 750 V - 400 AWA - 3 aiming for U Connecticut, Purdue, Virginia Tech, American U, SFU, UBC, UWO, SUNY -albany please let me know where I stand ?? regards
  3. Hi everyone, I will be attending MA Economics at York University, Toronto this fall. And planning to apply for PhD program for fall 2011. My primary interest field is Macro/ Monetary economics. I was going through ecophd ranking for monetary economics and found that U Kentucky placed at 41. But overall ranking of this university is about 107. Can anybody suggest me about this school for macro to be specific. Thanx

  6. Hello everybody, I am attending MA Economics program at York University, Toronto from this fall. And I will be applying to US/Canada for PhD program next. My interest are is in applied macroeconomics, monetary economics. Can anyone suggest grad schools that are good in applied macro / monetary economics. tx

  8. I think answer is B. since the maximum value of column A is less than col B. So, ans B. whats the official answer? @mlkovach explanation is correct.
