  1. Hi All, If you are looking for a pharmacist intern position (paid) or technician position, please message me. We are located in NYC. I'll give you further details on replying. Thanks.
  2. Hi, I am looking for a GMAT study partner in NY. I am from a pharmacy background (pharmacist). I recently decided to an MBA and try to move into health administration. If anyone is from a similar background, I would love to get in touch with them. We can learn more about the future career prospects from each other. Good luck with your prep. nivi
  3. Hi Everyone, In response to your questions, I used only Barron's as my reference. I practiced each and every exercise in it. I used to read a lot of newspaper articles at least 2 months before my test and in the process try to figure out the meaning of words I wasn't aware of. Try reading the popular articles from The New York Times - Breaking News, World News & Multimedia or bbc.com. Reading will not only improve your vocabulary but will also improve your knowledge on different subjects. This way you will have more content to deliver while speaking. I am not a very good writer but I made sure that I practiced all the writing passages from Barron's. Try writing down only the points first on a certain topic and then beef it up with more text later. Once you are comfortable with this part, start timing yourself. The more you read, the better your writing will be too, as you will be more comfortable with content. Have someone check your writing and speaking exercises too. Another tip, in my opinion is watch news in English, movies, comedies, animations etc. It may not work for everyone. I don't want to write my skype id here but feel free to send me a private message and I will add you. I will be going for my vacation in 2 weeks. nivi99
  4. Hi, I took TOEFL ibt last year and I scored 30 in speaking, 28 in listening and 27 in reading and writing. If anyone needs help in either of these sections, particularly in speaking, please feel free to send me a message. I will be happy to spend some time and help you improve. I am on vacation these days. nivi99
  5. Hi everyone, I am a foreign pharmacy graduate. I took both FPGEE and NAPLEX and cleared them. I registered with the texas board for NAPLEX and took the test on august 25th . I passed with a score of 106. I want to do an internship in texas,NY or New Jersey but I am confused about a few things. I was hoping some of you can provide me with some information. 1) I am going to my home country for 2-3 months and wanted to start the pharmacy internship on my return. I was wondering if I need to take the law exam before that for either of the above states? Is it required to pass the law exam before starting the internship? 2) I am not sure how many years my NAPLEX score would be valid and within what time frame I should finish doing both the internship and law exam before my NAPLEX score expires, in NY, Jersey of texas. I was trying to look this information up on the texas board website but I couldn't find it. I was wondering if anyone can direct me to the information. I will plan my trip accordingly. Thank you for all your help. Regarding my test, it was tough. I had a lot of math. So I definitely recommend practicing as much math as possible. The 120 questions floating on this forum were very helpful. Try doing math from lange as well. I used rx prep and found it extremely helpful. I also answered questions from apha and lange. Try to get hold of a good book on statistics and know all the formula's on relative risk, risk reduction, absolute risk reduction and number to treat. Practice them using a case. The lectures on rx prep were very useful too as they helped me retain things better. I'd be happy to answer anymore questions. nivi

    need opinion

Hi, I took FPGEE in september and got a decent score. I am planning to take NAPLEX in august. I've worked as a pharmacy technician for 7-8 months at RiteAid. I haven't completed my internship yet. I was wondering if it is realistic to take NAPLEX without an internship. Will my pharm tech experience suffice? Have people cracked this test without doing an internship? Any sort of feedback will be appreciated. P.S. I have been studying for NAPLEX for the past 1.5 months. nivi99

  13. Hi Pharmaddict and trulow, I got my FPGEC in March, this year and I intend on taking NAPLEX in July or August of this year. That is clearly more than 3months. I applied to the texas board and am waiting to hear from them. Does this mean that I will have to take the test by June this year else I won't be eligible to sit for the test anytime after that. Will my money go to a waste? Please do let me know. nivi99
  14. Hi Shah_praharsh Which state did you apply to?
