Hi Guys,
I am amazed at how determined most of you guys are about going for academia. I am 23 now, and I really cannot decide. I am a top performer in terms of school work, and I love taking classes - I guess going to grad school is a good route. However, I took a banking internship in previous year and loved it too, plus the $$$ that private sector guys make is really alluring. I wonder what are your takes on this? Currently I am doing an RA job - will apply in the next season for grad school. I was thinking about it, and suddenly started questioning why I want to do a PhD - it is entirely possible that I followed an academic route in the past few years because of the bad job market. I dont know.
What do you guys think?
