There's just another thing. The Council for Graduate Schools has a Resolution Regarding Graduate Scholars, Fellows, Trainees and Assists which states that once you have got an offer and accepted in on or after April 15th, 2010 (and not rejected it by April 15, 2010), you will have to get a written release from your school from which you have your acceptance before being issued an I-20 (accepting an offer) from another school. This is something which I just came across, in the offer letter package. I have a similar problem where I have accepted another school's I-20 and a better school comes along and provides me with an offer, but I can't accept it because of this clause. I am waiting for my previous school to respond. I'm aiming for Fall 2010.
