  1. Hello, Jessy. Welcome to the forum. You can plan your trip to the U.S.A. for the FPGEE and take both ( FPGEE and TOEFL) if that suits you. I think you can also take TOEFL in some other countries ( New Zealand, Canada). However, the results for TOEFL might take a couple of weeks to be declared. So, you may plan to stay there for a while and re-take TOEFL if needed ( I hope not). For TOEFL prep: Please visit ETS web site and see the exam/Test pattern they have. If you would like to use a personal coach there is a lot of helping hands out there. They might charge some money. But, worth trying. Search for The 7 Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT/ Notfull and you will find some help here. If you would like to read books and prepare on your own I think ETS offer a book and there are hundreds of other books for TOEFL. Just tip: Taking TOEFL is a technique sometimes the test scores might reflect way below your actual competency fluency in English. I took this test about 5 times and then was able to score the desire numbers for FPGEE. So, just hang in there understand the pattern and deliver what they expect. Another tip would be expensive but you may try: Take a test in your home country to understand the pattern and meanwhile prepare for the FPGEE and TOEFL ( to be taken in the U.S.A.). I hope this helps. Good luck A

    Need help!

Hello, there. I am not an Algerian pharmacist, however, I had used the following format a while ago. I hope it helps. Best way is to call the ECE help desk and inquire if they would nee any additional information. December 1, 2014 National Association of Board of Pharmacy FPGEC 1600 Feehanville Drive Mount Prospect, IL 60056 USA This is to certify that, YOUR NAME, bearing Name of YOur University enrollment number (If Applicable), was a student of Bachelor of Pharmacy from XXX to XXX, at the Name of your college/University. In addition to passing in the final Year Bachelor of Pharmacy examination in YEAR, met all requirements on June 2000 DATE Sincerely, Examination Controller/Registrar
  3. Hello. Welcome to the forum. FPGEE cannot be taken out side the U.S. You may visit their website for more details. Good luck. A
  4. PS: Maine also allow to have a pharmacy intern license before TOEFEL.
  5. Hello, Phdlee. I know exactly what you are going through. If you are looking to be an intern pharmacist in California, you have understood correctly. FPGEE+ TOEFL + FPGGE Certificate and then apply for CA intern license. However, if you would like to be licensed in Massachusetts or Florida, you can obtain an intern license without final FPGEE certificate. Please note that an intern license in MA is valid for 5 years and there is no guarantee that it can be renewed beyond that period (if you were not able to complete your internship hrs). And, the good thing about Florida intern license is that it does not expire-it is active for life long. You may have a look on FL and MA license requirements on their website-google it. If you are working towards CA intern license, you need to complete all required steps, as I mentioned earlier ( FPGEE+ TOEFL). I hope this information helps. Good luck with your test. A
  6. Hello, all. I hope everyone is hanging in there for the desired score and completion of the requirements. I would like to let everyone know that I have received a desired score ( R21 L 21 S 28 and W28) for the FPGEC. I am so glad that some people in here are so helpful and motivating. I have been following this forum for a long time now, a great platform to be a part of. I have been taking this test for a long time now this was my sixth attempt and surprisingly I have scored required numbers for the FPGEC. I would like to suggest one thing that they ask you a set of questions in an expected format, just give them the format and success if yours. Good luck to all. A
  7. You can call NABP directly. Every situation is different. You may get a specific answer from them.
  8. Hello, I studied CPR and took practice tests. The CD ROM tests are not great but they can help to study towards completing the exam successfully. I used many books on a website called Acesspharmacy which is a McGrawhill online book store. The said website has a lot of practice questions. That's all I guess. Be calm practice more questions. Good Luck,
  9. Hi Rami, Pharmacy Management: Essentials for All Practice Settings by by Shane P. Desselle, David P. Zgarrick and Pharmaceutical Care Practice: The Clinician's Guide, 2e Robert J. Cipolle , These are not question and answer type books, however cover most of the management part. Biostatistics is included in the latter. I hope you will find these helpful books. Good Luck, Akash
  10. Hi Jhina, I am sorry to hear that you could not make it this time. Well! now you know the pattern and the difficulty level for the FPGEE.Here is the blue print from NABP FPGEE Blueprint - National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) I used Gerard Totora for Anatomy and patho physiology. It covers all body systems. I have read CPR for Micro and Immunology it is sufficient, I guess. I refered Pharmacotherapy: A Pathophysiologic Approach: Joseph Dipiro, et al. It is a pharmacotherapy book but coveres most of the clinical part from the blue print. Pharmacy Management: Essentials for All Practice Settings by by Shane P. Desselle, David P. Zgarrick and Pharmaceutical Care Practice: The Clinician's Guide, 2e Robert J. Cipolle ,cover most of the management part. Biostatistics is included in the latter. Try to remember some basic latin system and mertic system conersions. I have studied all FPGEE curriculum(Blue Print) from these books and CPR . I devoted some time to revise and took some mock tests. Taking moct tests helps a lot to know and remember what you have studied. I hope it will help you to know where to find the blue print content. Please feel free to ask questions you might have. Good Luck. Akash
  11. Firas, You need to apply for an intern lic first, in the state where you would like to practice. Then approach to the Pharmacy chains/Hospitals for sponsorship. Proper procedure and document with your application won't give any red flags from the USCIS, during your work visa application. I hope that clears your doubt. Goof Luck Akash
  12. Wow! That was a breathtaking! I appreciate your time to guide our way.
  13. Hello there! I suppose you got your FPGEC Certificate. Now you need to get an intern license. You need to decide which state in the USA you would like to practice, all states have different requirements. You can find the information on NABP web portal. You need to look for a sponsor after getting your intern license,(I know it is a catch 22 situation for some states) Pharmacy chain or Hospital could be the one who can sponsor your work visa. Once you get you work visa you can go to Social Security Administration and apply for SSN after approximately 15 days of your arrival in the USA. I hope you will get the required information on the NABP web portal. Good Luck.......... Akash
  14. Hello to all. I was not the member of this great forum. It does not mean that I was not around. I used to check this site after checking NABP! I thought this forum might have some information that NABP does not have! I am just kidding..... It is great get together for the foreign trained pharmacists. I took the FPGEE twice. I worked really hard for October' 09. But unfortunately I could not make it. I refreshed myself.Took the blue print and my failing score report. So I could work on my weak areas. I studied every single section from the blueprint. I took some time to revise what I have studied. I took the practice tests and questions about 1500 to make myself comfortable with the exam. I passed with 145. Who cares! I passed that is all. I saw many posts they were panic in last week. I was restless as well. Finally we did it. The pharmacists who could not make it at this time, please don not get upset or disturbed. Take some time to relax .Rest for a while. Refresh and start studying. It works. I studied a lot for October but I did not pass back then. I did it at this time. September test takers please feel free to ask questions you might have. Good Luck ! Akash
