sorry i did not answer sooner . i did not use any law books . i went to the california web site and read the law from the web . mostly read about commom pharmacy law . skipped a whole lot of things . (yes, more clinical ) these are the law questions i remember ....... what technitions do vs clerks .rx filling , rx refills by phone,etc. storage for rx files and years to be maintained , controls vs non controls who can get controls filled,and by which mds, out of state mds vs in state, same for custmer out of state vs resident . law on off site storage what is required on a pt profile and rx bottle know class of drugs c2,3,4,5,.... know duties of pharmacy manager , know how often licenses are renewed ,rph , store, control , know dates that are required for notifying the board of change of address, pharmacy manager changes, theft , etc.. know what is required for faxed vs e- prescribing (or faxed rx ) i'll try to think of more ....good luck .

shikonesta, answer to question, i used the pass naplex books as study guides . no other texts. however i did take some chase naplex quizes two weeks before exam . singjuba, answer to your question , we had about 25 students . all ages , many different ethnic groups . very expensive indeed . if you can borrow some of the money , just think about how soon you can pay it back after you pass and start making 60 dollars an hour as a rph ?!

hello forum friends, i failed my first attempt at the naplex examination .( i thought that 18 years of experience in the field was enough ) i failed and felt terrible . i had relocated to the west coast , and now i had no job or money . :( registered for pass naplex now course . found the 5 days went by so very fast . studied for the 90 days that i had to wait to re- test . took the naplex . did not find it impossible . to my surprise i scored 45 points higher than the first time passed with a score of over 100 points . i could not believe it . took the cpje and also passed with a 78 .[clap] pass naplex now is the course that i recommend . good luck to all of you . you will find it worth the money .

i just took it in december and passed . i studied from a review course i took. (passnaplexnow) . the law material , i read the on line california law, provided by the california board of pharmacy . i feel bad that you did not pass. . i will tell you what i did . focused on top 200 drugs (with food , empty stomach) chemical names very important. focused on iv preparations , what gets mixed with d5w vs normal saline . focused on important drugs like phenytion, bactrim ,etc side effects , what labs are needed and done , . (as you know is clinical with law) focused on what is kept refrigersted vs room temperature. know the different labs for warfarin vs. heparin and others like lovenox. hope this helps. what is your weakness with the material , maybe i can give you better advice . i found the k- questions very tricky . i read them all at least twice . i must admit , i somehow recognized most of the material on the test .

i memorized a chart that had the convertion .. 45mg/day 12.5 patch 90 25 180 50 270 75 hope it helps .

hinltv07, pass naplex now chapter on iv's is all i needed to pass . i think you have enough information in the two books to pass . good luck. as for the law part , i read the pharmacy law provided on line by the state board of pharmacy in california . good luck .

hello rxp2010, congratulations !!! i am so glad you made it . as for me , i am still waiting for results. the california board of pharmacy is the worst . they still do not have my results , as of today . they claim nabp has the wrong social security number for me ? does not make sense . i keep praying that something good has to come my way. i need a break !!! did you take the cpje?

good afternoon, rxp2010, i took the naplex on oct 15th 2010. i am still waiting for my results. yes, i am from california, orange county . the ca. board told me that they had not gotten the results form nabp. nabp told me , the results were lost by the board since they had been sent out . i have been e-mailing and on the phone, as you can imagine. i am anxious to find out my results . no one can really help me . hopefully, i can get results soon , and it can be a passing score. that would be really, really nice. good luck getting your results . call the board, e-mail them . do whatever you can .

just came home from the cpje exam . pass naplex now, the review course and text books , was all i needed to prepare . i did not feel like the exam was impossible. lets see what the results are?:hmm:

janumet, sorry about the result of your test. next time !!!! my question is, when did you get ur results ? i just contacted the board again . they have to e-mail me back . ia m taking the cpje next week .. how long for those results????

today is nov 16th. a month has passed. the board sent me an e-mail stating that they had not sent out the results. do you believe it ? only in cali............

did anyone take the naplex in ca. in october ? are you still waiting for results ? i took the naplex on oct. 15th . still waiting .

i took the test in california , got results back in 7 days . i can not explain what is taking so long.

hi, just a thumbs up on pre-naplex . if you score a 75, sad to say , you might not be ready for naplex . focus , study , memorize all !!!!
