  1. I will go with D ... the reason A. incorrect , that/which , the development ...will be able to provide ... than the current curriculum (comparing dev with current curriculum) B. Incorrect ,The development ...be able to accommodate ... than the current curriculum C. Incorrect,The new development...will be able to accommodate ... than the current curriculum D. Correct E. Incorrect , to provide creative latitude more correct me if wrong in any of the options ... regards sason
  2. @ashutosh I dont think it would be an issue for me ,however weekends wont be possible for me as I am usually travelling .
  3. @alex sent you a mail at the given id ... you wanted to discuss something ??? regards sason
  4. at least one woman means there can be either 1,2 or 3 women member on the team so the ways are 4c1*6c2+4c2*6c1+4c3 60+36+4 =100 regards sason
  5. let me try ... the sentence is of the form of was expended for X and Y ... so both of them refer to the artisians ... hence "they" refers to articians ... correct me if wrong ... regards sason
  6. I'll also go with E for the same reason ...
  7. First of all I would suggest to look at the GMAT as a single qualifying lap or hot lap (dont assume that you have another shot at it) as I personally believe that it makes the person complacent ,its always next time if we dont score well but give each shot as if its the last chance ( my personal belief so please dont bash me on this ;) ) Now,I am also working full time so my plan is also somewhat same as yours.2hrs on weekdays and 6-8 on weekends, but you also have the next 15 days at your disposal hence I would suggest you to brush up your skills during this period. Probably one reading of Manhattan SC and a math refresher sort of book. btw do give one diag test before starting ... regards sason
  8. Is the answer D ... if it is correct then I will give the explanation ...
  9. powerscore cr and sc are very good ... but I would first suggest to go with the manhattan SC ... I have only done cr from powerscore (have to repeat it though) but it has increased my accuracy significantly ... timing is an issue for me too but in opposite sense ... I tend to complete each section much ahead of time , usually have about 15-20 min in Q and 25-30 min in verbal left ... need to work on it ... it results in too many careless mistakes ...
  10. "second master thesis" ...cool :) well I am working full time so only left with 2-3 hours at night per day ,will probably try to increase the time from next month ...
  11. I think B is the right answer
  12. Hi I am also planning to give GMAT in oct ( probably first half) and currently brushing up my quants and studying SC in verbal ( referring to powerscore SC and manhattan SC),what are you currently working on and how much time are you devoting for gmat prep. Btw dont get dishartened by a low diag score ,you still have more than 3 months to master the gmat :) regards sason
  13. rakhi which test did you give ??? and also what was the score for each part like SC ,RC,DS,CR etc ... Also do you have any maths background ,if no then I would suggest to start with maths basics and also side by side devote some time to verbal (basic grammar) regards sason
  14. Hi I am currently working on completing the Quants basics and also on the SC part . Referring to manhattan SC and powerscore SC. Plan to give one manhattan or princeton test next weekend (30-31) regards sason
  15. thanks for this explanation ... regards sason
  16. yeah ...doubled oil instead of vinegar ... need to more focussed while reading ... :P
  17. I think the OA is E . data is not sufficient to solve the problem. we have rule for red and yellow but can insert a green one or more consecutive greens regards sason
  18. the original solution be x (5/8)*x+(1/4)*x+ (1/24)*x+(1/24)*x+(1/24)*x oil vinegar salt pepper sugar now in the new sol (10/8)*x+(1/4)*x+ (1/24)*x+(1/24)*x and the quantity of oil is 10/8*x hence the proportion (10/8)*x)/((10/8)*x+(1/4)*x+ (1/24)*x+(1/24)*x) = 15/19 I hope I have understood the question correctly ... what's the OA ... regards sason
  19. thanks for correcting ... though small but still its a mistake :(
  20. we will have 5*4*3 =60 such numbers Now to calculate the sum .Consider the fact that units, tens and hundreds digits all will have equal number of 1,3,5,7,9 i.e. out of the 60 numbers there would be equal number of numbers that end with 1,3,5,7,9 hence each digit will be repeated 60/5=12 times ( there would be 12 numbers ending with 1 and similarily for the rest) So the sum of the units digit of all 60 numbers is 1*12 + 3*12+5*12+7*12+9*12 = [1+3+5+7+9]*12 =25*12=300 Hence the unit digit of the sum will be 0 and we will have a carry of 30 Now the same argument holds for tens and hundredth digit i.e. sum would be 300+carry So the tens digit sum will be 300+30=330 so the digit will be 0 and carry 33 For hundredth digit sum= 300+33=333 Therefor the number is 33300 Correct me if wrong or any other simple method is there regards sason
  21. has anyone tried the crack-gmat tests ... they also have free diagnostic test which they say is a low scoring and one should add around 100 points to the final score ... regards sason
  22. without even solving one can give the answer as D ... none of these ( answer will be much greater than 519 :) ) now if we want to solve... break the series into two sub series S=12+22,32+42,52+62 ... break in to S1+S2 S1 = 12 ,32, 52 ... S2 = 22 ,42, 62 S=S1+S2 Now S1 12 + 20(n-1) hence the sum is 12(n) + 20(n*(n-1))/2 n=20 12*20+20*19*20/2 4040 Now S2 22 + 20(n-1) hence the sum is 12(n) + 20(n*(n-1))/2 n=20 22*20+20*19*20/2 4240 and S=S1+S2 so S= 4040+4240 = 8280 Correct me if wrong regards sason
  23. I think the question is wrong ( missing detail) ,as there may be two cases... a. train and bicycle are traveling in same direction. b. train and bicycle are traveling in opposite direction. a. same direction relative speed is 72-36 = 36 km/hr in m/s it is 36*(5/18) = 10m/s and total time taken = 40 sec so total distance travelled = 40*10 =400 sec now length of bicycle = 2m Therefore length of train is 400-2 =398 m b. opposite direction relative speed is 72+36 = 108 km/hr in m/s it is 108*(5/18) = 30m/s and total time taken = 40 sec so total distance travelled = 40*30 =1200 sec now length of bicycle = 2m Therefore length of train is 1200-2 =1198 m since the answer can be either 1198 or 398 we can say that the question is wrong. or am I missing something ... Note: for changing km/hr to m/s multiply by (5/18) for changing m/s to km/hr multiply by (18/5) regards sason
