  1. I would consider this a low score and you have to keep in mind that in actual testing conditions your score will only get lower 1 month should be more than enough if you study 8h/day to attack a score of 600;
  2. I don't see why this is so hard. There are 10 rows. Every row has 2 flowers less than the precedent. In other words : 23 - 5= 18 ; 18/2 = 9 rows + 1 = 10 rows; final answer; +1 is because you are counting the first and the also the last. Maybe I didn't get the question right but if this is what you were asking the result is D) 10 rows.
  3. My earlier answer was based on the understanding that no couple can play as a team not in the same game. my bad sorry @likithae : what does 5c4 mean? combinations of 5 taken by 4?? If so, I'm not sure I'm following your logic.
  4. I am not sure I get the question. 4 guys have 30 mangoes. How do you equally split the mangoes between the 4 of them? Please rephrase because you are not making much sense.
  5. min = 12345 max = 54321 total number = 120 min + max = 66666 sum = 66666x60 somebody pls correct me if i'm wrong.
  6. I was thinking of (arrangements of 10 taken by 2 )/2 - 5
  7. Ok, my bad. I didn't consider these abbreviations as to be an infringement to the forum rules.
  8. Hello, I was given a 3pt penalty for using texteeese but I consider this wrong, this penalty doesn't have solid grounds. Can you please tell me why I was given this penalty? Or what I did wrong? Thank you. below you can find the notification text I received. ============================================== Dear alexmaruta, We found something in your post that rubs us the wrong way (call us crazy, but we like meaningful, intelligent posts): http://www.www.urch.com/forums/gmat/122364-finding-studying-partners.html#post806325 Reason: Textese
  9. How do you suggest we do this? I for example, want to take the gmat in october and maybe if it's the case, in december the 2nd time. I have set a goal of >700 ; I am a computer science graduate, my math is ok, somehow rusty but I'll get it back...on the verbal side...don't know what to say. I've finished today the RC section from the OG12th and I'm not that satisfied...average 3/7 wrong. I will continue to skim the OG and afterwards start with powerscore, manhattan and nova for the math section. I intend to get kaplan 800 and EZ advanced also. my toefl score was 105 with max on writing and 24 on speaking ...the rest quite good. As for my availability, I will push as hard as I can till august 13th when I'll go back to the office and afterwards weekends and 2h/day during weekdays + a 10 day of holiday before the exam; Should you consider this a good approach? will it be enough? thanks in advance.
  10. Hi I'm too aiming for a 700 score on my gmat. I have just started studying (I'm a computer science graduate) with the quant section. I don't know about the other two sections, writing and verbal but math seems ok...i'm a little bit rusty but excepting 1-2questions /230 the rest seem manageble. of course I didn't do it under timer countdown :) If there's anything I can help you with pls ask...i'll do the same if it;s ok; Right now I have started with the OG 12th edition. I want to finish it by august 1st ...and I'm hoping to register for the end of september maybe... later edit : I forgot to add that I took my toefl also and scored 105(without the stage fright I might have scored over 110 :) ) If u know, can u rate the difficulty of the toelf vs the verbal and writing section of the GMAT?
