  8. Hi Dionysus, Let me clear a few things . I am asking about TOP CS PhD. Program at the places mentioned. I have already finished my m.tech from IIT Roorkee (formerly University of Roorkee). My C.G.P.A there was 8.63 with rank 3. previous to this I did my bachelors from amravati university with 78.642 % with rank 2. Currently I am working in a R & D division. Now explain me the following things. 1. Do I need to mention my GPA/Percentages or Percentile (mtech : 94.64, b.e : 97.29), as I dont know the conversion factor from percentage to gpa ? 2. what is exact safe barrier of GRE/TOEFL/A-GRE scores for TOP CS school for PhD ? 3. Are industrial recommendations valid, apart from academics ? 4. I am interested in robotics, security & cryptography and embedded systems, which are best schools for this ? 5. Any other relevant info. Thanks in advance, Kirti
  9. Hi all, I am new to this group. I want to know a few things about TOP CS programs in US. * What are expected GRE/TOEFL/A-GRE (subject GRE) scores ? * What are GPA/Percentage requirements ? Is there any conversion factor between percentage to GPA ? Does it require to quote percentile (dont read percentage), ranks instead of GPAs if not there ? * What are other additions required apart from above ? Consider TOP program to be from MIT/UC-B/Stanford/CMU/Caltech/Gatech/.../ Kindly enlighten. Thanks & regards, Kirti
