  1. Well, I am a noob in terms of CS GRE. But just as a curiosity, can a 90.something percentile help in the application or CS GRE is just out of vogue these days for MS admissions. (I saw one of your posts suggesting CSGRE arent as important as they used to be in early 90s. ) Thanks.
  2. I am planning for MS in CS, for fall '12. In India, CS GRE happens once. This year, its on Nov 13 for which I am a bit short on preparation and was therefore, thinking to give it the next year. I have a doubt here regarding the clashing of dates. Please let me know the time it takes for ETS to report the AGRE scores back. I guess the apping for '12 would start by mid dec '11 which means there'll only be a month's gap between the AGRE and my apping. Thanks Kushagra ps:** about me and my resume:i am a 4th yr CS grad from bits pilani (reputed indian college, sometimes ranked #6). My cgpa is average around 7.9 which converts to 3.18/4.00. I have done a few projects, have some recos from reputed profs and 1550 on GRE. And by the time I apply, I woould have an year's work ex. So, as the profile is average (or max av+), I wish to boost it with a AGRE. please evaluate my chances and let me know the importance of a cracking AGRE score.
  3. yeah.. it was a server fault.. got those $380 after 3 days.. :) seeing that transaction of $570 really had really blown me away initially.. :p btw, i left the govt id blank and my bank was ICICI VISA. Thanks for the concern.
  4. awesome man.. !!!!! this is the best material i ever found. Thanks a ton. one small suggestion for others. I sometimes use this site for those few words that i find really hard to master. It helps this way to use the conventional way and then use this method to gain that extra mileage. Might also work for others. http://www.mnemonicdictionary.com/
  5. hi.. I was registering for GRE yesterday, online. Due to some error of the ets site, my registration did not get completed the first two time and I was linked back. So, I was made to enter the details of my credit card twice. Finally, I started filling the form all over again and filled the card details again. This time the validation was successful and I got the confirmation email and the other details. Notably, I got this confirmation email only once. But when I checked my card account, it shows 190$ being charged thrice. Twice for the failed attempts as well in which all i got was an error, no confirmation mails or any sort of registration done. I called Prometric India. They asked if I got the confirmation email once or more. They then assured that the extra money would be refunded within a week. I also mailed ETS. They are telling that they havent accepted the money but surprisingly my bank here, shows the transaction. ETS has asked me to send/fax the card statements. Kindly let me know if this has happened with anyone you know or if you can advise me in the matter. I trust ETS in that they wont do these sorts of things. But am really tense at the moment. Thanks a lot Kushagra @mods: apologies for posting it in a wrong topic, but I cant find any other better area. Thanks.
