  1. I was rejected by Vandy last year, but got offers from WUSTL and OSU. I also agree that the zero fee makes the school much more attractive.
  2. Sorry. I just saw the post. I truly understand how you feel!! We should all do that one day!!! See you guys on Monday!
  3. That's gonna be so cool. But sadly she already did send an email to us. But no info about registration, so we still can't register for U-pass or maybe more.
  4. That's true unless we won't know when and where to go on Monday!
  5. So you already got an email? I got nothing. I also was there on Wed, and she told me that she would send out emalis soon. Just wonder whether it's only me who get nothing!!
  6. Oh yeah and about math camp, I remember asking Sonya a while ago and she said Aug 1st.
  7. Thanks donovanmcnair for info, and best of luck for the prelims. I am wondering whether the prelims are in June or August. Information in the web is kinda confusing. On one page, it's said in June and another page says in Aug. I also got an email from Nick Papageorge and another email from Grad School regarding email, health insurance, and payroll stuffs on June 10.
  8. My letter was dated May 2 as well. And I wrote to ask the Graduate School about where to send financial documents, they additionally told me that we will be contacted over the summer regarding orientation, registration and health insurance.
  9. I see. That's what I expected too. Thanks!
  10. Anyone has an idea about when we should hear more information from the program?
  11. I see. Though I don't wanna fail, it's kinda relieved after reading your info. Thanks!
  12. Yeah! That's what I think as well. I'm ok with the fact that if you fail prelim (twice), you have to walk out. But the target thing (if true) is too cruel and can possibly create unfriendly environment. I don't wanna believe my friend(s) that much as I don't think WUSTL is out of cash (as you said) and they admit few students already each year! Besides, I counted the number of grad students for year 2008 and 2009 and there are still 15+ students (though I'm not sure they erase those who are out of the program). But as you said, we'll be fine!!! I'm very excited, and so waiting for the program to send me some documents!!
  13. May I ask about the attrition rate? I heard from my friend that her friend at econ department said they keep just 7 students out of 20! Is that really so? Do they really have the specific number in mind like UChicago and Wisconsin-Madison?
  14. Thanks both goose88 and ZomgRogged :)
  15. Thanks! One more question, is there any specific area that I should avoid as it seems like many people say St Louis is a pretty dangerous city.
