I am currently an MBA candidate going to graduate in Jun. I have applied to a PhD program. Last weekend, I had an interview with three professors. They decided that my English fluency was very good but my interest was too broad for them. During the interview, they also found that I lack training in research methodology. I was informed that decision will be made early this week.
Today, I have received a mail from the automated email system saying that the school has received my application for MRes program in management. Then another email followed showing that this application has been submitted and I will hear from them by 5th April (in two weeks).
Can I assume that I am going to be admitted to the Master's of Research program, which is a pre-training program for PhD?
