Have you been interviewed, especially before they put you on the waiting list? I have been waiting till today. One school said would update me of the status in 2 days, but now 4 days passed, nothing happens....

I have applied to 6 US programs, but heard from only 1 as a rejection. 5 other programs just keep silent. I was wondering if my applications have ever been forwarded for review till today.

I am currently an MBA candidate going to graduate in Jun. I have applied to a PhD program. Last weekend, I had an interview with three professors. They decided that my English fluency was very good but my interest was too broad for them. During the interview, they also found that I lack training in research methodology. I was informed that decision will be made early this week. Today, I have received a mail from the automated email system saying that the school has received my application for MRes program in management. Then another email followed showing that this application has been submitted and I will hear from them by 5th April (in two weeks). Can I assume that I am going to be admitted to the Master's of Research program, which is a pre-training program for PhD?

I share your feelings. I have got 1 reject and 0-9 notice. I got an interview, but am not optimistic with the results. I'm an older applicant and now I am thinking that I need to get prepared for all rejections this year though my referees say that I would be able to get into one of the schools. I am going to look for jobs after completing my dissertation this month. Sad! Hope everyone hear something exciting, including me.

Yes, out of more than 30 programs that I visited online I have found only one integrating marketing with entrepreneurship.

mwa1, you are so strong. I have not applied to any of the schools you have done.

I join the discussion as an older applicant. The chances are there but may not be so strong. It all depends on your match with the professors who make the decisions. I have applied to some 10 programs and believe that most of them won't think so favorably due to the age issue. But I believe some of them won't care so much. The key is don't try the programs that draw bunches of traditional applicants. I am not a top-n fan. I have got one interview, but I screwed it up myself. Sigh~

I have not heard from anyone here mentioning the application to this field. I feel lonely;) No information exchange from outside. So far I have not heard from any programs that I apply to.

I have not yet finished the application but have heard some results from other applicants. Many master programs have already made their decisions.

I didn't expect that a PhD study involves such heavy load of work. I'd better be prepared.

Many native speakers don't have to worry about it, but I do as a non-native. But my GMAT has always been a problem, especially with verbal, which is so different from TOEFL reading. Even if I understand the meaning, I got the choice wrong. Why?
