Hello!
Maths - I was getting 500 and 600 max on practice questions, so the 680 I got on the real test came as a positive surprise! I really can't remember the questions exactly, but I can say that algebra was the most present, I had a few geometry questions (circles, triangles, and a cube), 4 graphs questions (mainly percents), 1 question of combinations and permutations, and 2 question of coordinate geometry (which were really easy). I also had one question on functions (to find the slope) which I never did learn, lol. There were many questions with means and a couple with rates. Oh, and one question with those strange symbols pertaining to an imagined operation :D
Verbal - I've learned from the book "Essential words for the GRE", 800 words and word roots, but that is definitely not enough for a good score - I got 380  The first question was an analogy, but I didn't know the words, also the fill-ins, which I usually did okay on the practice tests, were tricky. And I was getting 450 on the POWERPREP verbal tests and above 500 on the paper-based in the ETS's 10th Edition. I've been reading on this board about a Barron's list of 4500 words, I guess this will be the book I will stick to if I'll need to retake the GRE.
