  1. Yeah I thought so. So I think on-campus housing is going to be difficult since the contracts start Sept.1 . I just checked craigslist (it's the first time I do since I never heard of it before :P), it may turn out to be cheaper than on-campus housing. I've been told that Goleta is a good choice since it's less expensive than downtown SB and graduate students usually share apartments there. I was also advised to avoid Isla Vista. I guess you're all interested in sharing an apartment, so we should get into contact soon...
  2. Really? Isn't that a bit early? I mean how much time before math camp do you think one should come to SB (especially since I have a huge time difference to get used to)?
  3. Thank you :) Turned out my eapp was not updated yet this is why i couldn't see the link but it's fixed now and I'm accepting the offer today. As for the apartments situation, I think the grad apartments sound like a good deal especially since all the off-campus apartment rates I've seen don't include utilities and are unfurnished! Also, you have to watch out for transportation prices, and the fact that we're all unfamiliar with the area. That being said, if you're considering on-campus grad housing you should watch out for something: the deadline for signing up for grad housing is May 15 (if you want to be guaranteed a spot). Also, the contract starts September 1. Does anyone know when math camp starts?
  4. Hey, everyone. I was admitted to UCSB just last week and I will probably attend. I was wondering if you could help me out with something: How can I fill out my SIR i.e. does it come with the official acceptance letter/ is it online, etc.? I would appreciate any help. Also, I think we should find a way to connect and, like most, I will also be needing a roommate (especially since I have no funding :P) if anyone's interested.
