For those still waiting for Cornell, they are still in the process of making decisions and plan to finish next week.

I emailed her this morning, and was actually suprised by her quick reply. Maybe she was too busy on Monday?

I sent an email to Marjorie, and this is her reply: "Unfortunately, we will not be making you an offer to our PhD Program for fall 2011. We had a very strong applicant pool this year --- almost 1000 applicants for 18 slots --- and we have had to pass over literally hundreds of high-quality applicants. Please take one of your other options. You should be receiving official notification from the GSAS Office of Enrollment Services very soon." Oh, well, not surprised actually.

Cornell and Columbia, where are you?? You are my last hope after being rejected by NYU...

Same question here! Has anyone received officail wait list yet? I am really anxious coz all I have now is an offer from my safety and a Columbia wait list. And I really really want Columbia!

I emailed JHU last week to check my status. And I got the reply today: "Your application status has been updated. All applications are being reviewed and notifications are in the process of being sent out per e-mail to each applicant." I really wish that this implies they are not done with admits yet... Any thoughts, anyone?

I didn't hear anything from JHU so I emailed the department. This is what they replied: "...I do know that offers have gone out and you should hear something within the week." Does this mean another implicit rejection?... This hurts.

I feel ya! Last week I was just hoping for one single acceptance, I got one, and this week I long for more! Greed is a scary thing...

Has anyone else not heard from Penn State yet like me? I emailed them asking for the status two days ago but never got a reply. And their phone is switched to voice message. I know they are busy, but I just really want to know what happened to my application... Also, my check status website still says they haven't received my scores yet. Does anyone have the same experience?

Congrats, goose88! I find it amusing how ASU would send out admit letters 10 o'clock in the evening :) just FYI, funding info will be sent out in ~two days via another email.
