  1. Hi fellas pharmacists! Whoever is interested in a study partner for the NAPLEX ans MPJE, please respond. I live in Seattle area, East side. I would appreciate every response.
  2. I am looking fr a study partner in Seattle area, WA.
  3. I have started my internship in at an indep pharmacy *** well. My duties are very similar to the technichian ones. The pharmacist shows me how thinks work and he supervises everything I do, however, I do not do much. I do not understand how the ensurance reimbursement works but I guess I will soon. I have plenty of months ahead.
  4. Well, sure you do need a number of internship hours completed before you can register with Naplex. You have to download a Pharmacist application and Pharmacy intern application and find out what does you board of Pharmacy require. Usually, as far as I know it is 1500 mandatory hours. However, some states need less, some need more. I do not exactly know about attempts because I plan to take and pass right away)))) Yes I have started thinking about Naplex and MPJE as well - books, preparation materials, as always, a lot of reading and hard studying)))
  5. Hi Abubaksi, I like your attitude, it is always better to be an optimist rather than a complainer. I do not have my FPGEE certificate, they did not receive my TOEFL score yet (I passed in in June). I did not apply for the intern license yet. However, the good news is that I found the internship position in an independent pharmacy. I stopped by to talk to the owner. I talk to the owner, we discussed the details. He notified me that the economy in this country is not as it used to be 10 years ago and he cannot pay me. I have to admitt that I am gonna work pro bono but it is just for several months. Also he told me that pharmacy experience is a good practice before NAPLEX. He is a foreign graduate as well, so he understands my situation. My state differentiates the hours an intern should complete depending on his/her FPGEE score. The higher the score the shorter an internship. I don't know how long will it take to get a license though ant start earning intership hours... Keep looking, check with independent pharmacies, they will take you, definitelly.
  6. Hello boticario, I am not a Spanish pharmacist but I know that you have better chances to get a job here with being bilingual in Spanish. Do not waste too much time preparing to the FPGEE, it you have an opportunity take it in September. Take a pharmacology by Lippincot - read it all carefully, coz there are plenty of pharmacology on the test, and CPR the latest edition (read only first 20 chapters). If you study every day two month would be enough for preparation. I've started to learn Spanish, however I am at the very beginnig. Good luck with you fellas spanish searching..
  7. Hello fellas future pharmacists, First, I would like to say how good we are that we made both FPGEE and TOEFL IBT. That wasn't an easy task. Congrats! One hard half on our way to become a licensed pharmacist in the US is over. I have to add that the biggest challenge to me was TOEFL, I took it six times. I studied really hard and it did not pay off. Then I decided screw TOEFL and speaking section in particular, I went abroad to clean up my mind and after a month and a bit I took TOEFL again (attempt #6) without any preparation and I passed it with the speaking score 27!!! Now am waiting for my FPGEE certificate. I look forward to taking NAPLEX and MPJE but before I have to complete internship. SO do you I guess! I contacted Washington State BOP and filled the application, so that once the FPGEE certificate is here I can send all set of documents. I also try to find this internship, and I feel it's gonna be a challenge. I did not talk to someone seriously about that, I just send my resume. I would like you guys to share you experience with the intership hunting and help each other if the opportunity arises. Good luck!
  8. Hello Abubaksi, Iam at the same situation as you are. I passed both FPGEE and TOETL and now I'm waiting for my certificate to arrive. In the meantime I try to find out as much as possible about internship requirements from Washington BOP coz this is where I live. However, I think about California and willing to relocate. So far I am sending my resume to all openings that exist statewide, but nothing is echoing in return, unfortunatelly. I do not worry about it though, coz there is enough time ahead. First we have to apply for the Pharmacy Intern and get a license. It would be great to find a place for the intership before the license arrive. I will check with all possible pharmacies, including big chains and independent. WHat are you gonna do?
  9. Yeh, it was a disaster to get started so late. I will study for September 27 if I did not pass the April.
  10. I always look forward to find a decent speaking partner or partner. I keep adding skype IDs from this thread, but there is no reply. So I decided to study on my on. My next TOEFL in in June. I do not have time to wait more. I have books and CDs, and I need 26. Good luck everyone.
  11. Hi, you know I fill the same about the test. However, I think that part 2 was tougher that the first one. If I did not make it I need to study harder for September. Where did you take the test?
