Hi guys! I was recently admitted to the MPhil program at Oxford and am trying to get more information on the program, especially regarding funding. I am likely to receive at least partial funding from my home country for the MPhil but would like to know more on the funding at the DPhil stage. According to the DPhil prospectus, students unable to get full funding from other sources will be guaranteed a "Doctoral Studentship" worth £ 11 400, which seems quite low to cover both fees and living expenses. So do most DPhil students get decent funding? Are there a lot of students paying the MPhil themselves / from external sources and then get good funding for the DPhil for example through ESRC (I am an EU citizen)?

Hi everyone! I have question for the Oxford MPhil admits and other people that have information on the decisions. I am confused on the application procedure. After applying I received a message that said they don't provide email correspondence on application status and decisions will be sent on regular mail after March 18. However there seems to be many people, who have already received acceptances via email. Does someone have further information on how the decision system works. Do I still have a change if I haven't heard anything from them?
