  1. @SoheyL Thank you for your great suggestions Soheyl. Congratulate you for Kellogg. In all, I think my chance to get into a decent Econ Department is much higher than business schools specifically marketing. So I determine to apply for Econ departments and subsequently I am to get GRE. But you don't put any accentuation on Analytical Writing. Was it intentional?
  2. Yes I want to become a researcher. In fact, I am mostly interested in microeconometrics. As far as I know marketing is a good field to afford my expectations. I presume that Economics is tiring for me because I should pass courses in macroeconomics and time series.
  3. Hi everybody! I am new here and I am wondering if qualified enough to apply for high tier schools in Quant Marketing. My Bachelor and MA degree were both in Economics with 4 GPA(in both). I have passed all following courses with 4: Math courses: Calculus, Math for economics, linear algebra, Real analysis Statistics: Statistics and Probability Theory, Econometrics, Time series, Microeconometrics Others may be useful: Advanced Mircoeconomics (1 and 2) I have not yet taken my GRE but assume that these are my results: Verbal 400-500, Quant 800, AW 3-4. Also, I do not have any difficulty to have decent LORs. But, my chief concern is about the university from which I have graduated. (Sharif University, Iran) I can say that it is not known for Business schools at all, although famous enough in some high rank Economics departments such as Northwestern, Chicago and Penn State and it is also completely well-known in Math and Engineering departments of all high rank universities. What do you think? Are the business schools too tough on this deficiency? Any advice is welcome.
