  1. The Quants was very easy. I think I messed up a little a bit. Just go through the July Database on Dr. Raju forum. Do nor depend entirely on it. For the Verbal the Database is enough to get you a nice decent score.
  2. Well my preparation spanned over months. As an engineer who works off shore for 12 hours a day finding time to learn was difficult. I was however able to squeeze in three or two works to do some learning. For the Quants, Nova and Barron’s is more than enough. Also make sure to make use of this forum. There are a lot of questions which can help. U might want to peep at Dr. Raju forum once now or then. Do not depend too much on it as you can easily make 800 in the Quants. For me, I messed up a lit and was too relax during the test. For the verbal, the Barron’s wordlist is must. You will need to familiarize your with the words and their definition. Also make the Big Book a companion. It is very useful and will serve you well. Also make sure to go through all words on Dr Raju database. I had about 80% of the words from the past database.
  3. Just finished with my GRE and am very elated with my scores. I managed 1490 Q780 V710
  4. Given (x-3)^2 = -(y+2)^4 and 2x + 3y + 4z = 0. Col A: z Col B: 0 500 candidates gave test and the average score was 72. Bottom 16% will have to take retest, 10 candidates scored 92 or higher, what is the score below which a candidate must take a retest? A diagonal of a parallelogram measures 90 and length of a perpendicular drawn on it from one of the two remaining vertices is 40. What is the area of the parallelogram?
  5. After 4 years later the salary is 2.6y where y is initial salary(4 years ago). So the average increase of salary in a year is what percent of initial salary? A cone is fitted into a hemisphere. Column A: height of cone Column B: radius of the hemisphere
  6. http://www.www.urch.com/forums/attachments/gre-math/6179-need-help-these-questions-please-do-explain-thanks-tri.png 1. Col A: x + y Col B: 90 2 If x 3. Given (x-2)(y+3) = 0. Col A: x Col B: 2
