  7. Thank you abhishek_jha. But I have some different ideas about your reply. A. You said that is doesn't sound good. Maybe it's a good reason, but if you can tell more rules, I would appreciate for that. B. You regard "proclaiming" as "by proclaiming". Even so, why not? D. "for" introduced a clause, and in the clause the subject is "a sacred truce". So the subject and verb(was) agree.

On the other hand, you overlooked my first question in my reply-about using "correspondingly". I would appreciate if you go to see my reply again.
  9. Thank you, abhishek_jha! But in my view about D, there is a parallel structure: was advised that¡ (in the subordinate clause that¡, there are three verbs) had a right¡ could not leave¡ and was ¡
  10. Thank you evensflow! Your interpretations are wonderful. But I still have some little questions: 1. I can understand what you said about "when" and "if". So, C is right, no problem!! But when you mentioned the mistake of using "correspondingly", you didn't tell me the reason. In my view, it may be used to modify "unaccompanied". 2. I cannot understand the word "hardly" well. "almost not" or "just"? Thank you again.
