  1. Yes, the letter said, Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that you have been admitted as a graduate student for Fall 2012 to the Ph.D. program in Economics majoring in Economics at the University of California, San Diego. As a leading institution for graduate studies, UCSD strives to attract and retain the best and the brightest graduate students from across the country and around the world. You have been selected from an elite group of applicants and it is our sincere hope that you will elect to join our campus community. To obtain your Certificate of Admission, go to the Application Status page of your online application at https://gradapply.ucsd.edu and click on "View Decision Letter". Your email and password are necessary to access the site. Your admission is provisional, contingent on the receipt of required official documents. The missing document information on the right side of the Application Status page indicates which official documents are needed to complete your admission file. All admitted candidates are asked to accept or decline our offer of admission by submitting the Graduate Intent to Register Decision form online. The Graduate Intent to Register form can be found on the Application status page by selecting the "Make Decision" button. If you accept our offer of admission, a link to the Statement of Legal Residence form will appear on your Application Status Page. This form must be printed out and either mailed or faxed to the UCSD Registrar's Office. If you have questions or concerns your best resource is the Economics department. Once again, my sincere congratulations on your admission. I hope I will have the pleasure of welcoming you to UCSD. Yours sincerely, Kim E. Barrett Dean of Graduate Studies University of California, San Diego
  2. UCSD is a great department! But according to last year, they only offer 50% tuition waiver and 8k for TAship first year. Apparently not enough for basic living. Guys, I have also got an offer from UMCP. They offer me 19.5k TAship. UMCP vs. USCD How to choose?
  3. I posted the admit on TM. But I have no idea who posted on GC
