  2. area of cube = surface area put formulas and you get the answer
  3. This is a very old quote... this used to happen in the old gre not the revised gre. You can start your work even from the 30th question. Its now Sectional Adaptability. 1st you get average section+> do well to get tougher section, if u dont do well you will get easier section. I read somewhere there are only 3 level of difficulty. LOW,MED,HIGH. There's nothing very easy or very hard for drastic test scorers

  8. [h=2]I got this.... where's the infraction expiry date??????[/h]Sorry, shridhar22, you can't do that. Some possible reasons why: You've found a post that we have deleted, trashed, moved, or hidden (for whatever reason). So we don't want anyone to see it, including you, shridhar22. (No offense intended.) Your account doesn't allow you to do this. 9. Is there any way to get out of this muzzle??? become normal... just as before, i posted a request but it is not shown anywhere now. This is my last try, is there anything left for us on this forum or we should say good bye... just bcoz of some silly mistake (UNINTENTIONAL) for which i assure i would keep in mind before posting

But now i always get that warning kind of thinf whenever i post ... that the admin must first scrutinize and then the post will be visible. I am actually struggling to get out of this... how will i become NORMAL? just like i was before being muzzled up. I did not do anything intentionally, you may see my older posts... i've always tried to help the forum members. Because of this... im struggling to contribute in the forum. I wish to help and get helped. Please tell me any way to get back as a normal member. I shall be highly obliged. Thanks

  17. Ohh... God , Plzz dont give such questions in GRE...
  18. Suppose there is 100 pounds of wheat. Then Column A: 1st day loss = 1%of100 = 1 2nd day loss = 1%of99 = 0.99 3rd day loss = 1%of(99-0.99) => 1%of 98.01 = 0.98 Total loss in 3 days = 1+0.99+0.98= 2.97 Column B => 3%of 100 = 3 Clearly B is greater, However this is long approach you must have an idea of such questions in your mind, but would require some practice. Its some what like discount given= Its better to get a 50% flat discount as compared to (25% + 25% )discount individually. Hope it helps!
  19. I will go with caa and holyman... ans is 174. But i dont know why the question had the footer... Really tricky question!. Hope we are not stumped...hehe
  20. I think this could be done in an easier way if we know the options...

    sum to n terms

    PROGRESSION: Sum of first n natural numbers: 1 +2 +3 + .... + n = [n(n+1)]/2 Sum of first n odd numbers: 1 + 3 + 5 + .... upto n terms = n^2 Sum of first n even numbers: 2 + 4 + 6 + ... upto n terms = n(n+1) ARITHMETIC PROGRESSION nth term of an Arithmetic progression = a + (n-1)d Sum of n terms in an AP = s = n/2 [2a + (n-1)d] where, a is the first term and d is the common differnce. If a, b and c are any three consequtive terms in an AP, then 2b = a + c GEOMETRIC PROGRESSION nth term of a GP is = a[r^(n-1)] sum of n terms of a GP: s = a [(r^n - 1)/(r-1)] if r > 1 s = a [(1 - r^n)/(r-1)] if r sum of an infinite number of terms of a GP is s(approx.) = a/ (1-r) if r I hope this helps you not only to solve the question but also understand the concept

  24. good work chathura... I got the same task in my paper... Its good to write few issues to understand and practice but, when the same topic comes, it may sometimes do less good than bad. I was trying to recall what i had written previously and wasted a lot of my time thinking about that. So my advice is never try to recall what u had written previously, just take it extemporaneously . I had a terrible essay, with no coherence.
