Howdy y'all.
I two idiosyncratic and unrelated questions:
I graduated from undergrad last year, in a total of 6 semesters, after being suspended for 2 semesters for drug possession. Now, I don't want to draw too much attention to this, though I'm certainly not going to lie on the applications that ask if I've ever been subject to an academic sanction. My question is how to approach those applications which don't explicitly ask about academic sanctions. The only indication they'd have of anything abnormal is that on my transcript it says "Honor Code Violation--Suspension." Since schools might well assume the worst (that is, that I was suspended for cheating), I'm planning on mentioning it in the "additional information" section at the end. Do adcoms actually read those? Anyone have any strategy advice?
Second, I applied to a few programs last year, to test out the waters; it didn't go so well. My application has since been much improved (swapped out 2 LOR's, took important classes last semester), so I think that these programs are now more realistic. My question is: I've already sent them my GRE scores, which don't expire for another year. Do I have to re-send them? Do schools keep them on file? Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks for your time.
