Dilemma I decided to take math courses at night this year to make myself more competitive but have limited options. I will take Cal 2 this fall and and can take 2 more classes (1 in the spring and 1 in the summer). I can take Diff equations and Cal 3 or Matrix Algebra and Diff Equations or Cal 3 and Linear Algebra due to scheduling conflicts. Which two classes do you suggest and is the difference between matrix and linear algebra substantial enough to sway admission committees? Thanks in advance.

Not sure, I havent recieved any notice from them one way or the other but now the implicit rejection feels all but certain.

Has anyone heard anything both good or bad about the program in Financial Economics? It seems very well run but just like anything else the more information the better. Thank you in advance.

I think it depends on the school. Many schools have administrative personal handle a lot of the communication so since they will be out of the office many will not send out communication. That said that doesn't stop profs from contacting you to talk or giving you informal acceptances.

I applied to Moore as well and have not heard back yet. Stay strong!

My profile is pretty weak so I figure I will get a reject from WUSTL but they still have not informed me. That said about a month ago I received an email (two months after applying) that I should apply to the Fellowship you are referring to. At the time and I still feel this to be true that they knew I was Hispanic so they automatically send out the fellowship application if your a minority. So who knows?
