I'm trying to decide which Math courses to take in the Fall and am hoping to get suggestions as to what my next course should be. I've already taken:
Real Analysis I
Probability Theory
ODE I
Linear Algebra
Real Analysis II (Audit)
I'm trying to decide between the following (I know that some of the courses are lower levels than above, but I'd like to crush a few proof-based courses so that I can get more intuitive with my proofs). My research interests are primarily in Micro Theory.
1. Symbolic Logic
2. Intro to Discrete Math Models (basic concepts of graph theory, markov chains, game theory...emphasis on application)
3. ODE II (wave, heat, & laplace equations... fourier series... use of power series)
4. Modern Algebra (with Proofs)
5. Numerical Analysis I
6. Game Theory
7. Dynamic Systems and Multivariable Control I
8. Probability and Stochastic Processes I
I will take two of the above courses next semester (or other courses that might be more important). What are your suggestions? Thanks much!
