  1. Hello everyone, My name is Eddie and I am currently a second year dental student at Columbia University. Recently, the dental education world had a dramatic change in that the National Board Dental Examination went to Pass/Fail, no numerical score is given anymore. This has a detrimental effect on those students who plan on specializing because now there is no way to compare students across the nation with a standardized test. I am very interested in orthodontics and this specialty is the most competitive field to get into. Even though the GRE has always been an exam necessary for orthodontic programs, there wasn't too much emphasis placed on it because all that mattered was your board score. Now since that went P/F, it seems that the GRE is tentatively the emphasized exam, therefore I really want a competitive score. I would be really happy with V>=160 and Q>=165 AWA>=4.5. My strong section will definitely be the math, my weakest section will probably be RC and the verbal in general. What essential tips can you give me to achieve these scores (resources aside from the official book which I just purchased)? And would it be beneficial to do old GRE released exams? Thank you!
  2. I just realized I posted this in the sub-forum...sorry about that
