  1. Thanks alot. Whatever has been suggested is well recognized and really appreciated. In order to fill these gaps and shortcomings, I want to pursue another degree. hence, I should either go for distance education masters in economics. But if i go with the same, my chances of getting good school for doctorate will deteriorate. Thus, moving forward suggest any school in europe, where i can be admitted with the above profile for masters in economics or in finance.

  10. Thank you very much for the information Sevet and Kinderpurse. What are the tier 2 schools in Canada? Would their program be funded??? Although most Canadian programs restrict their intake of international students, there's a good chance that you'll get at least some sort of funding if you get admitted. in the above statement, you were forced to explain the restriction being put forward for international student and yet you claim for the funding. Please kindly advise?

My Question is I fear that I will be cast aside by the admissions committees of PhD programs because of my background in Islamic Banking and Finance ( had 10 courses in that stream but not on conventional finance, mathematical computation, Optimization etc ). How i will fill the gaps and shortcomings?? Will the excellent scores of GRE and TOFEl can land me the admission letter given my profile?? Any advice is appreciated.
