  1. PROFILE: Type of Undergrad: Econ and Math double major Undergrad GPA: 4.0 GRE: Will take over the summer Math Courses: Calc, Vector Calc, Elementary Linear Algebra. I am currently enrolled in Intermediate Analysis, Time series analysis and graduate statistics and I expect an A in all of them. I will definitely be taking dif eq, modular algebra, linear algebra, and grad probability next year, and one other sequence (possibly graduate analysis) to round out the math degree. Econ Courses (grad-level): Micro, Econometrics, and I am currently in Forecasting and Industrial Org (again I am expecting an A in both of them). I will also be taking two more grad level econ classes next year to finish off my degree Econ Courses (undergrad-level): Intro and Intermediate micro and macro, game theory and managerial econ. Other Courses: Some business classes. Letters of Recommendation: I will get these from some of the teachers that I have taken graduate classes from. Research Experience: Something that I am currently lacking, but I am planning to write an honors thesis next year in econometrics/ forecasting (I am not sure of the exact topic yet. Teaching Experience: I have taught Math 101 (introductory algebra) at my school for the past two semesters. Research Interests: Econometrics. Concerns: I am attending a large state school, not necessarily known for academics, and also my current lack of research experience. Based on this profile, what types of schools do you guys think that I should be applying at next year. Also would it be worth it to take graduate analysis next year? Any other suggestions that you guys might have would also be welcomed.
