  1. Hey Shaq, That's a great score. I always thought you would definetly do well. Rather I guessed u may get more than 760+. Well, excellent performance and all the best with U'r apps. If you don't mind will u share u'r target schools ? I am trying my second shot on 28th. Hope to reach 700 mark this time atleast. -CG
  2. Guys, I need to learn basics of tense. I can identify Past, present & future as everyone. But when it comes to Simple Past Past Perfect Present Perfect I am lost. Can anyone pls explain each one of the above using only one sentence and changing the tense as you explain ?
  3. It's a Yes or No question... my bad :crazy:
  4. Is this E ? 1) p=r => 1/r = 1/r + r/2 ?? 2) r > 0
  5. Hey Shaq, That was superb. Out of curiosity how did u arrive at this ? what pattern does these letters follow.
  6. Will pick A. All other assumptions are valid.
  7. Guys, 1. B, 2.C and 3. B or D ?? I have same doubt as gmat168 for 3rd qn. 1) 3x^3 - x = 2 ==> x = 1 any other value ??
  8. Now this is interesting, I just missed the earlier discussions stumbled today on this. Well, I too picked E at first. After reading these posts and Nanda's argument, B does make sense after all. Press does enjoy the limelight :)
  9. Guys, looks trivial to many here :( But I am not getting this. Can anyone elaborate this ?
  10. Shruti, how wud u get the value of Y/X from b ? it can be any value. We need Only one value Moreover, if we try and combine 1 & 2 we still will not get as Y/X can be +ve or -ve HTH Shree
  11. It is 3/8. For every child couple desires to have it is 1/2 chance of a boy or girl => 1/2^4 Of total children we need exactly 2 boys and 2 girls. => 4C2. hence, 1/2^4 * 4c2 = 3/8. transyt am I correct in understanding this ?
  12. Will pick C. To weaken the conclusion "people who frequently manipulate other people are likely to become addicts" some nonaddicts manipulate other people more than addicts manipulate. What's the OA ?
  13. The hypothesis that "People who are better at abstract pattern recog- nition have more energy-efficient neural connections" does result in the experiment that was successful with less energy expenditure. Hence C. HTH Shree
  14. C it should be. Even though the industry has slowed down, they are progressing ahead with new R& D for any future event. whereas it is said that U.S is reluctant in progressing. Moreover, choices A,B & D are stated as if it is supporting the stand. E is out of scope.
  15. Will pick E. A steady increase in the price of Oil will be a loss of Hotco. What's the OA ?
  16. Had mouflon sheep been not similar the question of comparison wud have not arised. Negate D and you will see that "therefore provide archaeologists with a picture of what some early domesticated sheep looked like, before the deliberate selective breeding that produced modern domesticated sheep began" fails.
  17. Serious doubt is weakening the prospects. Choice A rightly does so.
  18. Sorry guys, missed 'from' in option E. Could not get to you guys earlier.
  19. Yes Ritesh, It sounds incorrect 'fifteen years before spacecraft from Earth again venture to Mars' But out of the given choices A is the best. All others are having issues as Shaq mentioned.
