After considering every offer I have got this year, I decide to attend Master of Financial Engineering program in Columbia.

UCSD has sent out rejections(many) during the past two days. And according to the record on gradcafe, UCSD always sent out rejections first, then it sent out admissions. So, no news is good news. I think.
first of all, it is not right to do so... even if you can do so, you still have to take the prelims by yourself... the grade is not like that of a course which is comprised of the homework grades
OR the percentage of students who fail to get the phd degree ? if the rate means this one, then it is OK to have a 50% attrition rate... if it means the percentage of students who fail the prelims, the 50% is too harsh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
