  1. Thanks a lot for this journey with all the friends in this forum. After considering every offer I have got this year, I decide to attend Master of Financial Engineering program in Columbia. Economics research is quite cool and also interesting for me. And I believe it will benefit the society. I respect every future economist in this forum and wish you all the best for your research. Good-bye.
  2. best luck for graduate study to everyone.
  3. hey, moneyandredit, got into any program yet?
  4. UCSD has sent out rejections(many) during the past two days. And according to the record on gradcafe, UCSD always sent out rejections first, then it sent out admissions. So, no news is good news. I think.
  5. I have heard nothing from UCSD. Good signal? But some guys in this forum claimed that they are admitted to UCSD... why?
  6. do we have to pass econometrics? I did not see the data about it in the page...
  7. If you are not sure whether you are into econometrics, which place will be better? UCSD or Wisconsin Madison?
  8. first of all, it is not right to do so... even if you can do so, you still have to take the prelims by yourself... the grade is not like that of a course which is comprised of the homework grades
  9. you mean you can share notes with your classmates?
  10. What is the attrition rate of the prelims for Brown and UCSD ?
  11. I will seriously consider whether to attend Wisconsin Madison...
  12. OR the percentage of students who fail to get the phd degree ? if the rate means this one, then it is OK to have a 50% attrition rate... if it means the percentage of students who fail the prelims, the 50% is too harsh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. The attrition rate is the percentage of students who pass the prelims?
