But it is also advised that this position should be renewed once in a while. This is advice is given because there is someone else who can handle the situation in a better way, especially when we living in a world driven by constant change. Although this regime shouldn’t be necessarily every 5 years, it can be increased or decreased. It is well known of kings (and queens) who had reigned successfully throughout many years. However, this isn’t something that always happens. Some kings and queens had been too confident of their position, and that nobody could remove them from there. This confidence lead to show a lack of responsibilities in their duties. This is why democracy nowadays admonishes candidates in giving their best for accomplish goals and bring success if they get elected. Also, being in power for a long term can bring corruption. The persons in power, after several years can start to misuse their positions and execute dishonored actions. We have heard cases in which public money has been spent in luxuries or complete wastes in favor of some obscured organizations. The reelection of a new leader, can counterattack this corruption and bring in honest people who actually acts in favor of the organization is leading. It is true that the world we live in right now is in constant changes, leading to new discoveries and methods. A leader who has been in that position for over 10 years, it is probably not fully aware of all the current innovations that have been happening, as opposed a recent graduate. An IT engineer working at a company for the last 15 years, isn’t likely to have the current updates in technology of a student who just earned a master’s degree in computer engineering. The modern era of this world needs fresh and new minds more often than before. In sum, it is necessary a change in leadership to ensure new ideas and talents can bring the best and success to an organization.
