  1. I think the deadlines have passed - they're usually late January and the applications open sometime in early winter
  2. Thanks for the info, this is very helpful! Just wondering, do you know what sorts of questions they'll typically ask in an interview - particularly if you're interviewing for multiple divisions, are you expected to have some technical or specialized knowledge about each division?
  3. Anyone who applied for an RA position at the Fed hear back about interviews yet? What portion of applicants receive interviews, and what portion of interviewees do they hire? I've heard some people mention that if you get an interview, you're basically in, but am skeptical about this...
  4. Really? I don't remember such a form...
  5. Chicago admits roughly 100 students every year, do you think the 15 or so admits on GC means they've sent out all the acceptances?
  6. Not to play devil's advocate, but is it really not possible that they're real?
  7. Northwestern results out on GC again? Doesn't seem like trolling this time
  8. I got a call from JHU asking about the content of my math courses and basic stuff I mentioned in my SOP
  9. My application page still says "Decisions are finalized by the first two weeks of March. A decision has not yet been rendered"
  10. I hope so... I swear my heart stopped for a second
  11. No, that part makes sense; I was just curious because they made it sound like a new thing - "This year, we are experimenting with talking to some of the applicants to get a bit"..
  12. Did anyone get an email from JHU asking for an "interview"? It's worded really strangely - that they want to get a sense of what students are looking for in a grad school before making admission decisions...any thoughts?
  13. Has anyone gotten an email from BU saying "Your application is currently under review by the Economics department and a recommendation regarding a decision from the department has not been returned to the GRS Admissions Office regarding your application at this time."? I feel like it's still too early to analyze what they mean by that...
  14. The grad admissions coordinator when I was in email contact with her
  15. Apparently Minnesota's committee is reviewing their applications this weekend...
  16. Should we email them directly to the department, or to the overall graduate school, if they don't specify?
  17. Anyone know when funding decisions for Cambridge are going to come out?
  18. This is a silly question, but I can't seem to figure out if Boston University also requires applicants to electronically upload their transcripts... I originally thought this was required but cannot find anywhere to upload them in the online application, under "Educational Background" or anywhere else. Can anyone shed any light on this?
  19. Has anyone noticed that certain information from the online form doesn't show up in the pdf preview of the application (usually right before the final submission)? I've noticed it on a couple of my applications now and it's usually not anything too important, ie, missing phone number or one of the "other schools applied to" so I didn't think it was necessary to email the school to clarify.. Anyone else having this issue?
