  1. Hey guys, I am currently a junior economics major at UC Berkeley. I have the choice to double major with Japanese or take a minor in stats/cs, and I'm planning to get a doctorate in any econ-related field. I have a major GPA of 3.5 currently, however, I did poorly in Multivariable Calc (I got a C) due to missing an exam, and I did not do well in calculus and stats (B+/B-) so I don't really know if I still have a chance. I should be able to increase my major GPA to 3.6-3.7 in the next year, but I'm very negative about if i can do better in higher-level math classes (b/b+ is the result I can expect). I will have a nearly perfect GRE Q score though. What should I do to recover from my bad math grades? Any suggestions? Thanks guys!
