  1. They are very rude comments involving dirty words.
  2. Could it be an acceptance at this time...?
  3. At least it's not a bad thing! Anyone got accepted? I saw a bunch of wls, but where are the acceptances?
  4. I am sorry if the words I said sound incredible. I definitely could have a better way to illustrate the whole thing if I gave myself one more second to think when making the first comment, but still, the only intent I had is to provide some insights I knew on this topic. That's it. You guys really don't have to buy it. And it's great to hold suspicion when talking to other people online. I truly appreciate it.
  5. Oh well that's why I disguised her undergraduate school, because I know it's gonna be easily found out. It's just a Princeton-level undergrad. And I don't know exactly how long ago it was. When I got to know her she was no longer that young. Hey buddy, seriously I don't need to lie about this. Believe it nor not.
  6. I am not going to expose her here without knowing she'd be comfortable being used in such example. But yeah, it's real and possible for an undergraduate to solo author a paper in AER. Of course it's very exceptional and very rare.
  7. Saw Boston College admits and wl on GC. Anyone here heard from them??
  8. I personally know a Princeton undergraduate published her paper in AER by her graduation...but it was like ten years ago or so... IT"S SOLO AUTHORED.
  9. Based on the previous admission data, I guess whoever didn't hear from BC today can be seen as rejected..Hard to accept it but I have to :(
  10. Hi MC, I can feel you and I am with you!
  11. Honestly I don't think so. It's like bugging.
  12. My professor always says it's not worthy going into a PhD program without their funding.
  13. I was thinking about the same thing. Actually I notice that for many schools, admissions come in emails while the rejections usually show up on the website at first then the emails of notification follows. Guess we'd better just wait for emails without checking the website...
  14. I don't think it's a determining factor. Without a program explicitly stating the lowest acceptable AW is X.X, a person who will get in by his/her other qualifications will still get in with AW like 3.0. I have seen so many people get in Top 10 with 3.5 or lower. A high AW won't change a rejection into an admission and vice versa.
  15. Take graduate-level math/econ classes, as many as you can. Work with some econ professors and get their letters. Since you won't focus on neuro economics, you may follow others' paths and do these normal stuff. You will be all set!!
