While we all wait to hear back from graduate schools, I am interested in hearing where students who are interested in behavioral and experimental economics want to go to school. Specifically, I want to know where you applied and what convinced you to apply there. Also, I'd like to know if you would rather attend a better ranked school that didn't put an emphasis on behavioral/experimental or a school school that focused more on behavioral/experimental but isn't as good.
Personally, I applied to Carnegie Mellon SDS, Pittsburgh, George Mason, Virginia, Cal Tech, Purdue, Cornell, Duke (and many others that aren't as behavioral/experimental focused). Carnegie Mellon SDS I think best fits my research interests and everywhere else would give me an opportunity to pursue one of the fields. I'm really impressed by Purdue, George Mason, and Pittsburgh even though they aren't as highly ranked. I think I'm leaning towards (if I get in) going to a Purdue or Pittsburgh rather than a Michigan or Boston University.
