Hi there, I've been admitted to CEMFI with TW and full funding and Duke without any funding TnT. I aim to apply to a top PhD in US. My personal research interest is in microeconomics theory and applied microeconomics but I understand that it might change during my graduate study life. Funding is not so crucial to me but the more the better LOL. The pros and cons to me are: CEMFI: Pros: Full funding and TW. Small class (20 students) - high interaction with professors Summer RA position Cons: Not sure about the PhD placement of Chinese students. Have to learn Spanish for daily life. Less presitgious. Duke: Pros: Good placement records for Chinese students. More prestigious. Higher recongnized in US? Cons: Expensive. Not sure about the interaction with professors and recommandation letters. I'll be appreciated to any comments and advices! BTW. Any news from Michigan State U's PhD admission?
