Hi all, this is my first post in this great community. I am an international student who has been admitted to a phd program of an American business school. The financial package includes a tuition waiver and a salary of 20,000 working as a research assistant. I would like to know more about the US taxation system regarding scholarships and fellowships for international students. Do I have to pay taxes on my research assistantship? I googled it but it seems unclear. Who can help me to clarify the situation? Thank you all in advance!
