If a program assigns you stipend less than to other admitted students, will the department spend less time on you (lower expectation)?

Has there been any updates from CMU after that batch of rejections on 2/20?

7 rejections in a day... Even though I have an offer from Rochester, this brutal day really makes me doubt whether I can graduate from a Ph.D. program.

Mine changed to Decision made and yet there is nothing. Their website says the result will be available within one business day once the status is changed to Decision available. So, maybe tomorrow

Do you guys think Minnesota has sent out all the offers? I really want to go there for some personal reasons as well as the good quality of the program.

Guys, please do not lose hope! And be careful with 'implicit rejection'! I thought I was implicit rejected by Rochester, since the last two posts on GC was 2 days ago. But I just got a funded offer from Rochester this afternoon! So do not lose hope until you are officially rejected!

Hi guys I do not know if I expressed my question clearly in the title. So I will try again. I am most likely rejected by one of my safeties, which is ranked at 30ish. Does this mean all the schools that are ranked above it will reject me as well?

I saw that too. Maybe the poster meant 'applied economics' instead of 'economics'. I dont know...
