  1. There is definetly a overlap between OG 10 and the new OG Workbooks, But for me any new qestions that i could get my hands on was good enough as I knew the questions were all from the official source, doesnt get any better than that. Besides, It is a small bargain when compared to what you might gain. I also used the Math Work Book.
  2. Getting more correct answers is the right idea, But at the same time, keep an eye on your timing, Getting more correct answers taking lesser time will be my suggestion. I would suggest you dont take the Kaplan or any other un-official tests seriously, Study OG well, Take the PowerPrep tests to gauge you performance from time to time.
  3. Thank you all for the good wishes. Working my weakness from OG definetly helped, Of the very few tests that i gave, One of them was a GMAT PREP, which by the way doesnt contain any explaintaions for the questions, But looking at the forums helped, as most of the questions have been asked/answered in the forums. One other thing that might have helped me was my attitude towards the test as a whole, I didnt let it get on my nerves. All the best everyone in your GMAT prep.
  4. Hi Everyone, I gave my GMAT on 28 Nov, I am pleased with the score, although I feel I could have scored more, had I been more disciplined during my preparation. Special Note : Before I go any further, I would like to thank testmagic for giving us such a wonderful site. There have been lots of debriefings here in this forum that have motivated me, 2 of the most compelling have been Ursula's and Twinsplitter's. Preparation Strategy: I have been contemplating going for a MBA for over 2 years now, finaly decided this july to get serious about my preparation.Books used during preparation were Kaplan 2006, OG 10th Edition to begin with then added OG 11 ed, OG Math and Verbal Workbooks, Manhattan SC and CR guides. My biggest weakness of all the GMAT sections was the SC section, Manhattan SC guide is a good book to start OG 10 edition with, Once finished with OG10, I moved onto the OG 11 edition SC. Studying every questions' explaination in detail really helped me in improving my SC skills. I gave very few practice tests during my whole preparation which hit my timing during the real test. Test Experience: My test was scheduled at 8:00 AM, didnt sleep well the previous night, I was ctually yawning during my math. Started with 2 AWA topics, didnt write the second topic all that well. The Math section began well and I worked up a pretty good pace with the first few questions, around 20th question I looked at the clock and found I had ample time left for the remainder of the questions and this is were i relaxed, lost some time and had to rush through last 3-4 questions. verbal began well, saw a RC in my 3rd question, Was again working up a decent pace until the mid section, when I slowed down a little and then had to rush through last few questions, I knew I was doing ok in verbal as I saw 2 bold faced CRs around quesion 25. I wish i had practiced more tests. Having said that, I am happy with my score. I am now concentrating on admission process. About me: I am a 28 M Indian, working as a software consultant with a fortune 20 company for last 7 years. I am currently on a project in US since last 2 years.
