  1. I applied for the Yale IDE program, but I dont really know much about it so my fingers are still crossed. Also I applied for an Erasmus Mundus Program, Economic Policies in the age of Globalization. Actually have an interview with them tommorow. But unless I get Yale, I'd probably be going to warwick or LBS.
  2. I applied late November 2014, and yes I was rejected. I guess I have to do some soul searching
  3. Hey guys. Ok this is an unconventional post. Like many here I dreamt of an econ PhD. However my GRE quant score (162) kept me out of most top masters like lse and Cambridge. I got into Warwick however. I also applied to London business school as a backup and I got an offer. But these are the considerations Warwicks masters does not lead to its PhD directly. So after the masters I would still have to compete to get into the PhD program and if I dont I might be stuck in the UK. (im an international student) and I dont really know how good Warwick is for getting a job. On the other hand, lbs will give me countless opportunities in terms of jobs. But management isn't really my dream. Now im in a dilemma. Do I follow my dream and go for an economics master And hope for the best after. Or do I take up the lbs offer. All views are welcome.

  5. I know this has been discussed over and over but as I want to apply for the fall 2015 round of admissions, I really have to ask again. Can one get into Oxford or Cambridge mphil economics or Oxfords msc econ dev with a gre quant score of 162? I have stellar grades (first class honors) from an African university, and will have great letters of recommendation from enthusiastic if not well known economists. And if the above is not possible, could someone suggest some schools in Canada that are more reachable.
