  1. Does anyone know why Duke interviews candidates (i.e. what do they ask and so on) and why not all accepted people are interviewed? Cheers! :)
  2. I'm waiting for the results to come! When did you apply (the second referee sent her letter)? Good luck on the other applications!
  3. Hello there, Some schools let you send a small piece of writing in order to show your research skills. I have three options but two of them have been written in groups. The first one is a very decent undergrad thesis, the other two are strong term papers for a master program. I would rather send any of the last two in order to show advanced model making and advanced econometric skills. Do you reckon it is ok to send a paper with one or more co-authors? Thanks!
  4. Indeed, that's why the safeties I'd throw in are what many people would only dream to attend.
  5. Although your profile seems very strong, not having any grad courses could set you back. I would throw in some safeties you find nice and extend the uni's you apply to: UCSD, Princeton, UCL, LSE, Oxford, Columbia, NYU. But as Patho says, trust your advisors as they know best.
  6. @NBZ Thanks for your reply! Yes, the school places students at top school frequently but I don't know the exact profiles of these students. And yes, the metrics, micro, macro courses are phd level courses and I did well on all of them. Would you like to make a guess of my results?
