Hi all,
I'm just joining now but have been reading for almost 2 years, my plan is to apply for a phd in economics for this admission cycle.
I have a few concerns which I am going to highlight in the profile, would be great to hear your views on those.
Thanks!

Letters of Recommendation: One maths from ugrad who knows me very well (worked 12 weeks with them) and is willing to make sure he knows what kind of letter is needed for Econ Phd, a famous ex prof who doesn't know me very well but likes me and has a lot of contacts, I need to get the third one from one of my MSc Profs (probably going to try with someone good but young)
Research Experience: 12 weeks doing the summer working on regularity theory for PDE
Teaching experience: None
Research Interests: Microeconomic theory and theoretical asset pricing
SOP: not 100% sure about this (any tip would be great!)
Other: some internships in investment banks
Applying to: MIT, Harvard (Econ and Bus Ec), Stanford (Econ and GSB), Chicago, Princeton (I am applying to so few because my original plan was to apply next year, while maybe doing some RA experience, one of my letter writers thinks it would be a waste of time for me and that I should give it a shot this year)
Concerns: no econ research experience, bad AW gre, a lot of analysis but not much else in math, still missing a ref letter
